Well done, pattyann57. Even more well done, dyertribe. That's very clever - and I adore those stones.

Well done, pattyann57 . Even more well done, dyertribe . That's very clever - and I adore those stones. Thank you! The stones are actually glass. I had lots of scrap glass from my glass art days and made them into pieces suitable for jewellery, it was that that got me into silversmithing actually. im making spiral silver wire Christmas tree earrings next, much simpler!

those cabochons are very effective, particularly love the largest, reminds me of some of the photos from NASA of Jupiter

Beautiful piece dyertribe ... very impressive. Almost as impressive as pattyann57 providing tech support 😁 And that's a lovely, atmospheric avatar photo MetalWomanTested negative today (second consecutive day) but off to work ... visiting tomorrow. Rog

Rog I seem to have missed this - admittedly I've not been around much cause in between chores, I'm house-hunting in the north east atm. 'hope you haven't been poorly (or Jane) ...my sense of smell still hasn't returned (some would say that's lucky given some of the soap dodgers who sneak through my radar on here) keep well!

those cabochons are very effective, particularly love the largest, reminds me of some of the photos from NASA of Jupiter striking piece Thank you, the hinges were very fiddly, my practice ones were larger. The tubing has to be sawn to size, can’t use a shears or cutter cos you’d squash it. Sawing something that small involves spending half your time on the floor looking for th bit you’ve dropped! The thing about making the cabochons is that you never know what you get until you’ve got it! And you can’t repeat it with any degree of accuracy.

Rog nah - Ellis is 'home' but the bungalow sale is progressing and as such, I need to find some more bricks and mortar ... and realistically, to be mortgage free (and thus have a passive income from it) I'll have to buy in the North east or stoke... I used to live in Hartlepool so it's as good as place as any to look at and it will mean I can stick a wodge of cash in the bank as a safety net in case covid 3 comes along etc.
