We had notification of a C&RT consultation regarding restricting the bulk of Birmingham Centre moorings to 48 hours.
It did identify very limited sites where longer moorings would remain available, but these were out of the centre (and without my Nicholson's, which are of course at the boat, meant nothing to me).
We like to spend longer in Birmingham centre as there's so much to do, and there's quite a bit of locking effort to get there.
What do you think ?

Is it a Cart initiative to cut down on Towpath Shufflers? I never realised there was a problem mooring in Birmingham, there was always space whenever I went through.

It can get quite full in the height of the season, a big part of that problem is people leaving 1/2 boat length between boats / not sharing bollards. Out of season there isn’t a problem. So it is rather odd that they are proposing to make it 2 days all year round, Pretty pointless.
There is a bit of an issue with confusing signage to address, that is about all. And of course making the public pontoons at Cambrian into permanent moorings is selling off public asset to make money.
