This will mean that any visitor moorings located between Milford Turnover Bridge to Haywood Bridge on the Staffordshire & Worcester Canal will also be closed during the works. Works are due to start late January but the exact date is to be confirmed. More details will be provided as soon as they become available. Anyone familiar with that stretch will be ..... (sorry, really can't find the right word!) - confused? - especially when you know how very badly the lock along that stretch needs serious attention and the extremely narrow nature of the towpath and the area in general.
What are these people thinking?!?

It does seem a bit extreme to close moorings on the entirety of Tixall Wide. But then it does actually say “any visitor moorings … will be closed” but I don’t think there are any official visitor moorings on that stretch. So that’s alright then.
