So - here I am thinking of what I'm going to buy myself for Christmas (there's no one else expected to be playing santa) and I've half a mind to get one of these and pipe the air to the cabin for when punters shut the bathroom door and THEN complain it's cold in there and the bedroom. www.recoheat.co.uk/What does the collective think of it? - snake oil or logical physics?

No idea if it works, but can see the logic. A lot of heat is lost up the flue isn’t it.

I’d be worried about excessive cooling of the flue gasses. And some of the website claims seem implausible. But if you do get one, it will be very interesting to hear how you get on with it.
And the coil thingy in the flue pipe looks prone to crudding up. I bet it will need regular cleaning.

I'm with Nick on this, cooing the flue gas will cause condensates to form in the chimney. Far cheaper to get a few Aldi ecofans and some large dia jubbly clips and strap them to the chimney.

Or spend the £340 on more coal, then £10 on a sign that says leave bog door open when not in use.
